Mexican peso extends gains on US stimulus hope

Aug 31Mexico's peso surged on Wednesday after better than expected U.S. factory data eased recession fears while weak U.S. private sector job growth left the door open to stimulus from the Federal Reserve.The peso MXN= rose more than 1.77 percent, to 12.2860 per dollar, heading for its best one-day gain in about three weeks.
