Ex-Citigroup VP(Gary Foster) accused of stealing $19 million


NEW YORK A former Citigroup vice president has been charged with embezzling $19 million.Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn said Monday that Gary Foster was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport after arriving on a flight from Bangkok.

A criminal complaint accuses Foster of transferring money from various Citibank accounts to his personal account at another bank.The 35-year-old Foster was to appear in court later Monday. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.Foster's attorney said Monday that "he returned voluntarily and is prepared to address the issue."
