Anti-China protests in Vietnam


Approximately 100 Vietnamese residents gathered Sunday to protest the attitude of this and China that are creating tension due to the territorial waters dispute.The protesters wore T-shirts with a picture of stars in the flag of Vietnam. They took to the streets in the capital and sing the national anthem of Vietnam.This demonstration came when the United States talking with China about the South China Sea in Hawaii. Similarly, as reported by AFP on Sunday (26/06/2011).

The demonstrators also called for slogans such as "Spratly and Paracel are flesh and blood of Vietnam."Islands are a disputed island of Vietnam and China, along with other countries namely the Philippines and Brunei.

"We wanted to show patriotism and support our government in case of disputes with China," said a protester who was 70 years.
