4.2 earthquake reported on California's Central Coast

4.2 earthquake struck off the Central California coast Wednesday morning. The temblor was centered in the Pacific Ocean about 22 miles from Point Sur and 42 miles south of Salinas, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (that's about 89 miles south of San Jose). There were no reports of injuries or damage. People in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties told the USGS they reported feeling the temblor. It hit at 4:56 a.m.
