Dehradub at least 14 people in northern India died Saturday due to landslides caused by heavy rains during the rainy season, said a senior official in the district.Landslides occurred in three separate districts in Uttaranchal, it is clear the official told AFP in the state capital, Dehradun.
"Fourteen bodies have been found," said Piyush Rautela, executive director of the government's Disaster Mitigation Center in Uttaranchal .Five people were killed in the district when their house collapsed Almora because it was a landslide. Five other people were killed in the district of Nainital and four more were killed in Haridwar.(AFP)
